Michael O'Neill Jr. is a Principal at Preferred Investments. Michael graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 and has built his career around acquiring and leasing complex industrial properties that others won't touch — contaminated sites, closing manufacturing plants, and power-infrastructure-heavy facilities across the Carolinas and Virginia.

Preferred Investments started as a two-man operation, where Michael wore every hat — leasing agent, construction manager, property manager, and maintenance coordinator. That foundation shaped how the company operates today. As the team has grown, the goal has remained the same: deliver the same personal, hands-on partnership that defined the early days. Whether that means sourcing furniture for a new tenant, helping a client drive student enrollment through targeted marketing, or working directly with brokers and contractors to get deals across the finish line, the team treats every relationship as a long-term partnership.

Outside of work, Michael is a two-time Ironman, an avid squash player, and an avid golfer. He married his college crush, Alexandra Lane O'Neill, and the two remain devoted Notre Dame fans.
